Vishal Pendurkar’s 67ball 129 and Sushant’s 5/24 steers GBSC to a win in the DGRS Champions Cup

It was a match between two tough teams namely Goregaon Boys sports Club & SKN Sports Club at Aarey Bhaskar Cricket Ground in Mumbai. SKN Sports club won the toss & elected to bat first unaware of what was about to come against them.

GBSC boys made a stunning 216/3 in 20 overs thanks to their right-handed opener Vishal Pendurkar who started dominating and attacking the bowlers from the very beginning. Vishal scored a lightning quick 129 off just 67 balls playing at a strike rate of 192.5 smashing 18fours & 4 sixes to enthrall his team mates and the spectators alike. Ulhas Manjrekar also chipped in with an 18ball 32 helping their team reach a big total. None of the bowlers were spared and they could have bowled a little tighter to restrict them under 180.

Chasing 217 at more than 10runs per over, the pressure rubbed on the SKN boys as they were bundled out for just 93 runs in 13.3 overs. Right arm medium fast bowler Sushant Patil was the wrecker in chief as he came up with amazing bowling figures of 5/24 in 4 overs followed by 2wtks each Akash Yadav & Mukund Sangli.

GBSC won the match by 123runs & Vishal Pendurkar’s 129 was the highlight of the match and so was Sushant’s 5wtks where both of them shared the ‘man of the match’ award. Cricketgraph congratulates GBSC boys & especially these two boys & wishes all of them luck for their upcoming matches.
