Vinish Phillips steals the show with his bright hundred vs Dahisar in the Kanga League 2017/18

Played at the M.B Union C.C, Cross maidan in Mumbai. Young Man CC Vasai took on Dahisar Sports Club where in Dahisar SC won the toss & elected to field first considering the vulnerable rainy and damp conditions to restrict the opposition to a low total.

However, batting first, Young Men CC made a decent score of 208/8 before they declared their innings after playing 50.5 overs. Even though their openers Kunal & Kashish failed to create an impact at the top, it was Vinish Phillips at no.3 who scored a gutsy century to steer his team out of the trouble. Right-handed Vinish scored 103 off just 135balls at a healthy strike rate of 80 which included 11fours and 2sixes. From the bowling side Paras Shah was the pick of the bowlers taking 4/63 in 12.4 overs.

Dahisar SC in reply scored 50/3 in 34 overs at a run rate of below 2 until the end of the game’s play where the match was declared drawn.
