Vikas Sharma thrashes Radio Mirchi to help Idea win in the Milan Mega Corporate T20 match
Vikas Sharma of Idea had an amazing day with the bat when he scored a brisk 71 off 34 balls against Radio Mirchi on 30th April in Mumbai during the Milan Mega Corporate T20 Tournament. Sharma led from the front and helped his team amass a grand total of 188-7 in 20 overs. His innings was composed of 11 boundaries and three sixes. Sameer Karpe was the pick of the bowlers for radio Mirchi picking up 4-31 in his four overs.
Radio Mirchi fought well but in the end fell short of 30 runs as they were restricted to 158-6 in 20 overs. The openers Richard D’souza (33 runs off 28 balls) and Nikesh Gupta (33 runs off 40 balls) provided a steady but a solid start to their team. However the middle order could not capitalize on this and Radio Mirchi failed to achieve the target. Javed Gajiyani was the best bowler for Idea as he grabbed 3-23 in his economical four-over spell.
Vikas Sharma (71 runs off 34 balls) was bestowed with the Man of the Match award for his exceptional batting performance.
