Vicky Patil’s brutal hundred seals the finals for Orion Adeas in the APL Stars Champions Trophy 2017

It was the all important finals match between two competitive teams namely Orean Adeas & Saturday Cricket Club at the New Era Cricket Ground in Mumbai.  SCC won the toss & elected to field first in order to restrict Orion boys to a low total.

Batting first, Orion boys did a good job with the bat as they scored 187/8 in 20 overs. Right-handed opener Vicky Madhav Patil fired at the right time in the all important finals as he lit up the ground with his aggressive batting scoring all over a brutal 112 off just 63balls. Playing at a strike rate of above 180+, Vicky smashed 13 fours and 2 sixes to cover all parts of the ground with ease. The rest of the batsman chipped in with starts to reach 187 in 20 overs. Rohan was the pick of the bowlers taking 2/19 while the rest of the bowlers also chipped in.

Chasing 188, SCC managed to score 154/7 in 20 overs and lost the finals to Orion by 33 runs. Opener Sanju was the highest scorer with 43 while the rest of the batsman were not able to convert their starts. Vicky who had already done his job with the bat also came up with 2/21 in his 4 overs with his off breaks while the rest of the bowlers also did a good job.

Orion Adeas won the match by 33 runs while all-rounder Vicky Madhav Patil was declared ‘man of the match’ for his superb perfomance. Cricketgraph congratulates Vicky and the whole team and wishes the whole team for a great cricketing year ahead.
