Upendra Bawarkar’s sparkling 52 ball 122* steers Kotak Mahindra to a win in the Jolly Friends Matunga League ‘18

After being made to bat first at the DPC ground, Kotak Mahindra appeared to be least affected posting a massive team total of 214/2 in 20 overs. Despite the openers failing to give a good start, it was Upendra and Subharaman with a record 184 run stand in a T20 match which saved the ship for Kotak Team.

Subharaman played the anchors role to perfection scoring an unbeaten 47* (47 balls) while all eyes were on Upendra’z blazing batting as he demolished the bowlers with his power hitting smashing as many as 11 sixes and 7 fours en-route his 122* which took mere 52 balls at a strike rate of close to 235.00.

CITCO Spartans in reply were bundled out for 101 runs as Kotak Mahindra won by a big margin of 113 runs where in Upendra was declared ‘man of the match’ for his swashbuckling batting.
