RULES AND REGULATIONS –

Over Format – The overs to be bowled will be in the 10-10 format, with the fielding team deciding which end they would like to start their bowling innings from.

  • ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA, SQUAD & TEAM COMPOSITION

 

  • Each team has to submit a minimum Squad list of 16 players and a maximum squad list of 20 players. A total of 13 players can participate in a particular match. 11 players and 2 Super substitutes will be allowed. All participating players have to be nominated before the The wicketkeeper cannot be the super sub.
  • Age Criteria for JFSC ELITE CHAMPIONSHIP EDITION 2 – 2 players between the Age of 19 to 25 and rest all 26+ as on 5.2023

    Current Professional cricketers playing for India are not allowed to participate in the ELITE CHAMPIONSHIP. Current first – class cricketers having played even 1 match are not allowed e. Ranji Trophy, Duleep Trophy, Irani Trophy or any Elite level tournaments happening in India. Also, Kanga League (A, B) and Times Shield players (A, B) are not allowed. Of the above category players who have crossed the age of 40 are exempted from the above restrictions and are allowed to participate. Players who have played Time Shield & Kanga League C & D are allowed and eligible to play only if the minimum gap is of 2 years from their last official game.   • JFSC trusts the captains to follow the defined eligibility criteria for their own squad and expects captains to do a thorough background check of their players before submitting the final squad list for the tournament to avoid conflicts and
  • Any team not following the eligibility criteria will lose its winning points to the opposite team for that particular match and the player/players who are not eligible will be disqualified from the
  • A player cannot register his name for more than 1 team, if any teams found with players registered for more than 1 team will be penalised and the player will not be allowed to participate any further for the

 Bowlers are allowed to wear full metal spikes**; Batsmen can either wear rubber spikes or regular sports shoes; they are not allowed to wear any form of metal (Umpires will regularly monitor and advise the bowlers regarding their movement on the danger zone, bowlers failing to comply with the umpires warning will have to change to rubber spikes.)(**SUBJECT TO GROUND RULES)

  • The toss will be conducted by the organizers in the presence of both the team Captains should make the decision of batting or bowling, after the toss on the pitch itself, they will not be allowed to go back, decide and then give their decision.
  • The match balls to be used will be provided by JFSC
  • Captains are expected to be available on ground for toss 25 mins prior to start time; delay in toss will result in automatic toss handed over to the opposition
  • Umpires decision taken on ground during play will be final and binding on all. Captains & players are expected to accept the No player will argue with the umpire on his decision.
  • There is no place for violence on a cricket field for what so ever reason, any player found guilty of violent conduct shall be suspended for a minimum of 1 game, with the final decision regarding the penalty resting with the organizing
  • If any natural calamities occur, each team will get 1 point – there will not be any rescheduling of matches
  • If a team has an objection on any opponent player not being eligible, the team captain should raise an objection with the organizers with sufficient proof within 12 hours of the match that has concluded – any further time taken their objection will not be considered valid and the match result shall stand irrespective of the player’s eligibility
  • If proven guilty within the 12 hour guideline , the following punishments will be applicable
  • Win scenario – all win points docked of the team that has defaulted by playing non eligible player/players and the winning points (2) transferred to the team that lost in the particular match
  • Loss scenario – Minus 1 (-1) point to the team that has defaulted by playing non eligible player/players
  • Tie scenario – The team that has defaulted will lose the 1 point and the opposition will be awarded 2 points
  • If both the teams have defaulted, both teams will lose their points
  • If a valid objection is raised, the objected player/players will be given an opportunity to clarify their side, unable to do so the player will not be allowed to take any further part in the The player will also be given only 12 hours clarify his side.
  • JFSC strongly believes in sporting fun along with safety of all the players, we urge players to use the best of equipments be it helmets, guards and other protective gears which is prescribed by experts of the game
  • Although adequate safety precautions have been taken and First Aid facilities will be available to treat any injuries sustained while playing, JFSC will not be held responsible and liable for the same and the players will be playing at their own risk
  • JFSC will not be responsible for any personal/material loss or theft during the tournaments
  • If any team walks out of the ground for whatsoever reasons without the umpire’s or organizers consent, it will be deemed that the team has forfeited the game and points with bonus will be given to the opposite team

In matter of doubts/issues/queries not covered by the tournament rules, the decision of the Organizers will be final and binding upon all concerned. JFSC reserves the rights to all decisions pertaining to any issues/concerns raised during and after the tournament. We expect full support and cooperation of all our captains and teams for conducting a peaceful, smooth and successful tournament
