Tausif Khan scores a brilliant 84 runs off 43 balls in a pressure match Tausif Khan was back with what he does best, creating terror in bowlers! After a long gap of few months recovering from slip disc injury, Tausif took few delivers to get in to the groove and started with a back foot flick on the leg side dismissing the ball for boundary. That classic leg side flick was a sign of things to come for the 47 year old khan Chasing a decent total of 161 was never going to be easy however the two top order batsman from Mulund Knockers, Tausif Khan (84runs-43balls) and Manoj Sonavane (46runs -28 balls) made it seem like a walk in the park scoring fours and sixes at will.Together they stitched a partnership of 124 runs and chased down the target in 15.3 overs.

Hilltop Cricket Club team won the toss and elected to bat first against Mulund Knockers. Hilltop club never seemed to slow down their aggressive batting and continued with power hitting despite loosing wickets at regular intervals. Sandeep scored a quickfire 53 and the stage looked set for 200 plus target. However the brakes were applied by the off spinner Manoj S who surprisingly delivered a crucial maiden over.

Mulund Knockers bowlers restricted the total to 160 in 20 overs. Tausif Khan innings was laced with 13 fours and 2 sixes. Tausif Khan’s batting performance earned him accolades from opponents and umpires who thoroughly enjoyed his batting. With this win, Mulund Knockers move on to the semi-finals of JFCL tournament.
