Talented Sandeep Palav steers the chase with a brilliant 95* as United CC win semis of the Kanga Knockout Tournament ‘18
Played at the Elphinstone, Azad Maidan, United CC and Elphinstone Cricket Club took on each other for the all important semi-final face off where in Elphinstone CC won the toss and elected to bat first on their home turf.
However, their decision to bat first fell flat as they were bundled out for just 149runs all out. Their top order collapsed with only Diwakar Bhatt at the middle order saving the grace with a fighting knock of 56* off 88balls. The bowlers did a terrific job with spinners Adarsh Ranjan and Mangesh Katkar taking 3 and 2wkts each to trouble the batsman.
Chasing 150 was a mere formality and why not when you have the talented Sandeep Palav in your team. Sandeep who has been in great nick continued his purple patch scoring an unbeaten 95* off 120balls opening the innings for United CC. His knock which consisted 7fours and lots of running between the wickets ensured he single handedly took care of the chase.
Sandeep is a proven match winner and he keeps on proving how promising a talent he is while United CC qualify for the finals as they win the semis by 7wkts.
