Spin duo of Ashutosh Ghagre and Ketan Kharat take 10wkts between themselves in the Young Comrade Shield ‘18

Played at the Dadar Parsi Colony SC, Dadkar Maidan, it was the all important clash between Shivaji Park Youngsters and DPC Sports Club where in Shivaji Park Youngsters won the toss and elected to bat first with an aim of making a big total.

Shivaji Park Youngsters were at one point 74/6 but Fahim Athanikar at no.7 played a crucial knock of 57 off 70balls to resurrect the innings and take the team total to 145 runs in 46.2 overs. The bowlers who provided maximum damage and in fact full damage was the spin duo of Ketan Kharat and Ashutosh Ghagre. Both the spinners took 5wkt hauls to dent the batting line up of the opposition. Off-spinner Ashutosh came up with bowling figures of 5/55 while left-arm spinner Ketan Kharat came up with impressive 5/27 in 15overs(3maidens). Both the bowlers bowled at fantastic line and length bowling in the right areas while also kept on taking wickets at regular intervals which did the job for their team.

Chasing 147, DPC Sports Club chased down the score in 39.1 overs and won the match by 4wkts. Talented middle order batsman Pranay Patil scored a match winning 67 off 70 balls while Pranav Kela remained unbeaten scoring 33* off 78balls. It was a clean win for DPC sports club where in Ashtosh and Ketan bowled in tandem reminding us of pairs like Kumble-Harbhajan and Ashwin-Jadeja!
