Riding on Vathsal Sharma’s 61 and Sanat Sangwan’s 53, followed by Loveneet Singh’s 3 wickets , Sonnet Cricket Club defeated Sahil Cricket Academy by 22 runs in the final to emerge champions of Global Opportunities Cricket Cup.
Batting first, Sonnet put up a total of 192 runs on the board courtesy Vathsal and Sanat’s half centuries. In reply, Abhinav Tejrana from Sahil Academy played an excellent knock of 74 runs but could not prevent a loss for his team as they were bundled out for just 170 runs thereby losing the match by 22 runs. Loveneet Singh captured 3 wickets giving away just 8 runs.
