Skipper Simit Chaddha leads from the front as SHM Ulhasnagar win the finals of the Friendship Tournament ‘18

 

Played at the Asahi Glass ltd, Taloja, SHM Ulhasnagar and CCD took on each other for the all important finals where in SHM Ulhasnagar won the toss and elected to bat first on the back of their good batting line up.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

SHM Ulhasnagar batting first notched up a very competitive total of 176/8 in 20 overs on the back of their skipper Simmit Chaddha who opened the innings. Simit scored a fantastic 73 off 47balls smashing 13 fours and 2sixes to take the game away from the opposition. The rest of the batsman batted around him giving starts while Simit anchored his team’s ship helping SHM Ulhasnagar reached a defendable total. From the bowlers, Santosh Gole with 3/26 was the pick of the bowlers.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Chasing 177, CCD must have felt the pressure of chasing in the finals as they managed to score only 139/9 in 20overs with Devendra being the only one scoring a fighting knock of 62 off 42balls. Sagar M and Manish Nagdev were the pick of the bowlers taking 3 & 2wkts each.

SHM Ulhasnagar won the match by 34runs and skipper Simmit was declared ‘man of the match’ while the whole team lifts the trophy.
