Siddhant Singh’s match-winning 68* down the order paves the way for RJ College in the Inter Collegiate Tournament’19

RJ College after opting to bat first at New Hind CC Ground were in deep trouble at one point losing quick top order wickets. Some early jolts made team paralysed at one point and they were looking only good enough to touch 150-160 odd runs on the board. However, Siddhant Singh’s late blitz down the order ensured his team reached a defendable total. Siddhant coming at no.7 scored a quickfire 68* which proved to be a game changing knock. Cameo of 20’s by Maxwell and Adesh further lended the finishing touch as RJ College reached a total of 239/7 in 44 overs.

SPD College in reply were bundled out for 154 runs thanks to some brilliant bowling spells by Akash Savla and Siddarth Mhatre. Akash came up with 4/35 in 7 overs while Siddarth chipped in with 3 wkts for 32 runs as RJ College won the pre-quarters match by 85 runs.
