Siddarth Walia’s 3/16 helps Rohtak Road Gymkhana beat Sonnet cc ‘in the’ 2nd Master Taksham U/12 Cricket Tournament

Played at the MRV Sector 13 in Dwarka, Rohtak Road Gymkhana & Sonnet Club clashed for a crucial encounter in the U/12 Master Taksham Tournament organized by Bimla Devi Dobal Cricket Academy.

Batting first, Sonnet Club were all out for 75 despite boasting of a promising line up of players. The batsman could have done a better job & could have crossed atleast 150 in 30 overs to make it a defendable score. The bowling was quite spot on and especially their talented right arm leg spinner Siddarth Walia who bagged 3/16 with his effective spin bowling while Kunj Dudesa also chipped in with 2/15 alongwith Ratan Veersingh taking 2wkts restricting the Sonnet Boys to a low total.

Sonnet bowlers did gave a tough fight as they took as many as 6wkts of Rohtak Road Gymkhana but eventually Rohtak boys chased down the score successfully winning the match by 4wkts while Siddarth Walia was declared ‘man of the match’ for his promising bowling.
