Shubham’s 123 falls flat as Tushar Singh continues good form to steer Al-Barkaat into the finals of the Giles Shield’19

Played at the KSA, Cross Maidan, it was an important Semi-Finals between two very powerful teams who have performed very well this year namely IES VN Sule and Al-Barkaat. IES after electing to bat first suffered a batting collapse and had it not been their dependable Shubham Shinde who has piled on runs for IES at crucial junctures, the team could have been all out for under 100 runs. Shubham scored  123 off 232 balls at a time when 9 batsman from the team struggled to score in two digits. Adil Sayyed with 3/33 was the pick of the bowlers.

Al-Barkaat in reply were 191/0 thanks to their in-form opener Tushar Singh who scored his 4^th successive ton in Giles Shield. Tushar scored 116* off 174 balls(16 fours) while he got able support from his partner Asif Khan who remained unbeaten too on 67*. Both teams mutually called of the match after Al-Barkaat crossed 190 at the post lunch session and AL-Barkaat were adjudged the winners of the semi finals.
