Shashvat’s gritty 87 alongwith Sandeep Bhandari’s fifer helps Sunder CC dominate in the F Div Kanga League’19

Batting first at Sunder CC, Cross Maidan, Shashvat Jhunjhunwala who came at no.3 for Sunder CC single handedly scored more than half of the team runs at a time when wickets were falling from the other end. Shashvat scored a solid 87 off 133 balls which had 7 fours and 1 six. It was an innings full of substance as Sunder CC declared their innings at 169/8 dec in 52 overs.

However, the match could not obtain any results as Dahisar Youngstars somehow  escaped a narrow defeat with 2wkts in hand at the end of the game’s play with their score reading 93/8 in 34 overs. From the bowlers, it was Sandeep Bhandari being the pick of the lot coming up with excellent bowling figures of 5/26 in 11 overs with 2 maidens. Sandeep proved to be a difficult customer to handle with his tight line and length as he kept on providing breakthroughs bringing his team almost close to a win! This was also back to back fifer for Sandeep in Kanga League’19, in his previous match he had taken 5/26 vs Mazgaon CC as he continues to rattle opposition with his fiery bowling.
