Shashi’s all-round performance & Japjeet’s 50 guides Eknath Shinde CC 1 to semis win in Thane Premier League’22

Eknath Shinde CC 1 opting to bat first at Dadaji Konddev Stadium in Thane batted well posting a healthy total of 191/5 in 20 overs. After losing both the openers early, it was no.3 bat Japjeet Randhawa changing the momentum with an impactful half century. Japjeet scored 50 off 29 balls smashing 5 fours and 2 sixes while also stitched a crucial partnership with Eknath Kerkar who scored 43 runs.

SR’s Group in reply were all out for 100 runs in 17.5 overs courtesy some disciplined bowling performance from Eknath Shinde bowlers. Experienced Pacer Royston Dias with 2/15 in 3 overs was helpful and so was all rounder Akhil Herwadkar who took 2 wkts for just 8 runs. Shashikant Kadam with 2/19 in 4 overs and Prasad Patil with 2/29 also contributed well with the ball.
