Sanika Chalke’s quickfire 70 helps Sri Ma Vidyalaya win the finals of Kalyan Premier League (Girls)’19

Tournament sponsored by NATARAJ PENS

Sri Ma Vidyalya School opting to bat first at the SPCA ground in the all important finals posted a healthy total of 149/6 in 20 overs. Opener Sanika Chalke despite the lack of support from the other end played her natural game hitting an aggressive 70 off mere 47 balls. An impressive innings which included 13 boundaries pushing her team towards a decent total. Shreya Patil (2/27) and Nisha Vanguti (2/21) were the pick of the bowlers from Santosh Sports Cricket Acacemy.

Chasing 150 which is a above par total on SPCA wicket was going to be difficult and Sri Ma Vidyalaya bowlers ensured they kept the batters in check restricting them for just 56 runs all out in 13.2 overs. The bowlers did a wonderful job taking wickets at regular intervals. Shrishti Kudalkar (3/13),  Pradnya Bhagat (2/15) and Niteel Negi (2/3) were the pick of the lot proving to be quite effective with the ball.

Sanika Chalke
