Chennai, February 21: Rising women’s cricketer Ryue Lopes, a product of Noorjahan Cricket Academy (NNCA) in Borivali, delivered a stellar all-round performance in the Chennai Mech. Women’s T20 Corporate League, representing Equad Blue Giants (EBG). Under the expert guidance of head coach and NNCA founder Usman Shaikh, Lopes proved her mettle with both bat and ball, earning two Player of the Match awards across four matches.

Batting Dominance

Lopes showcased her batting prowess, scoring 129 runs in 112 balls at an average of 32.25 and a strike rate of 109.95. Her standout knock came against IOB on February 19, where she smashed 62 runs off 52 balls at a strike rate of 119.2. She also played a crucial 41-run knock off 34 balls against SYT on February 18, accelerating the innings with a strike rate of 120.6.

Effective Bowling Contributions

As a left-arm spinner, Lopes maintained an economy rate of 6.7, scalping three wickets across four innings with an impressive bowling average of 14.33. Her control and variations were evident in a tight three-over spell conceding just 10 runs, proving her ability to build pressure.
