Quickie Vishweshwar Singh & Dinesh’s 61* steer their team to a finals win in the Blues Star T20 tournament
Arbuda & Future Star Club Association clashed for the all important finals of the tournament at the National Cross Maidan in Mumbai. Future Star won the toss & elected to bat first to post a big total on the board.
Batting first, it wasn’t the best of the days for FSCA as they lost as many as 7 wkts in the first half of their innings under 40 runs. It was Rohit at no.8 who was the highest scorer for their team with a quick 23 down the order which took their team total to 90 in 18.3 overs. Left-arm pacer Vishweshwar Singh was the pick of the bowlers with bowling figures of 3/19 in 3 overs. Vishweshwar was able to touch 140 k’s per hour & that was quite commendable. Singh was completely successful in upsetting the batsman with his line, length & pace which also helped him take a hat-trick in the finals. Left arm pacers are itself a rarity & Vishweshwar certainly gave us the vibes of Mitchell Starc when he was bowling in full flow.
Chasing 91 in 20 overs, Arbuda won the match by 9 wkts & 10.1 overs to spare. Opener Dinesh meant business right from the 1st ball as he remained unbeaten on 61*(9 fours, 2 sixes) & played the role of a finisher to perfection.
Team Arbuda won the tournament & Vishweshwar Singh was adjudged ‘man of the match’ for his brilliant bowling while Sagar shah was adjudged the best batsman & left arm spinner Mukesh Patel (12 wkts for 49 runs) the best bowler of the tournament.
Cricketgraph congratulates Vishweshwar & the whole team for their finale win & also wishes them all the luck for the future.
