PJ Hindu Gymkhana and Maskati Cricket Club end the B division Kanga match in a draw
Riding on some wonderful batting displays from the batsmen of PJ Hindu Gymkhana, the team put up a healthy 204-7 against Maskati Cricket Club on 11th September at PJ Hindu Gymkhana, Mumbai, during the B division Kanga League match. Opening bat Nishad Gabhawala gave a solid start to his team scoring 79 runs. His other opening partner Sujit Haravi chipped in with a patient 46. Middle order bat Vishal Bhilare accelerated the innings with a run a ball 45 and remained unbeaten. Sushant Waje was the pick of the bowlers picking up 4-46.
Maskati Cricket Club played well for its 156-9 and narrowly managed to save the match. Jigar Shah, who opened the batting for Maskati scored 36 and received good support from no.7 batsman Aditya Shemadkar, who made an unbeaten 39. Harshal Merchant was fantastic with the ball as he ran through Maskati’s batting line-up in no time. Harshal picked up 6-26 and had Pawan Kumar (3-21) for company, who bowled nicely as well.
Despite some great performances in the match, the game ended in a draw.
