Parth’s ton, Prince’s fifer and a good team effort overall helps Kamath Memorial win in the U-14 Summer Vacation Tournament
It was a 2day match held at Shivaji Park, Bengal Club Pitch in Mumbai between Kamath Memorial Club & SSL Boisar where boisar won the toss & elected to bat first in order to make a big score on the board.
Batting first, SSL Boisar were all out for just 80 runs in the 1st innings. In fact their decision to bat first seemed to have gone wrong as none of the batsman were able to convert their starts. Right-arm pace bowler Prince Badiyani was the chief destroyer with the ball taking 5wkts in 20overs. The batsman were just not able to figure out the pace of Prince who certainly looked promising enough for a bright future ahead as a pace bowler. In reply, Kamath Memorial showed their strong batting prowess as they managed to score 308/8 declare. Right-handed Parth Pathak scored an unbeaten 101* off just 125 balls smashing 14fours in it. Parth scored a calm, fluent & a matured knock & so did Ashutosh bhalla who scored a solid 76 followed by 39 by Arjun Rane.
In the 2nd innings Boisar again made 176/9 declare before the day ended and Kamath Memorial won by an innings. Right-arm off spinner Manthan Korgaonkar also bowled well taking 3wkts. Overall it was a good team effort where all the players chipped in with their contributions helping them win the match.
Kamath Memorial Club won the match and Parth and Prince’s perfomance was the highlight of the match followed by a good teamwork by the Kamath boys. Cricketgraph congratulates Parth and Prince for their individual performances while also wishes all the boys luck for a bright future ahead.
