Parikshit & Aadhatrao See New Hind To Championship As Kela Ends Up As The Highest Scorer

New Hind Sporting Club emerged as champions of the Young Comrade Shield against Victory Cricket Club, winning by a mammoth margin of 105 runs.

Batting first, New managed to score a mammoth total of 364 in 89 overs. Pranav Kela missed out a century by just one run. Apart from him, Aayush Zimare, Karan Shah and Akshay Jamnbhekar chipped in handy knocks. Sachin Bhosale and Aditya Rajhans managed to claim 3 wickets.

In reply Victory could muster only 256 runs as they were bowled out in the 49th over. Jay Jain and Suraj Shinde scoring half centuries but falling short. Leg-spinner Parikshit Valsangkar bowled a match-winning knock of 6/78 to make sure New Hind has the first-innings lead.

New Hind piled up the runs in the second innings by scoring 264/5 in just 40 overs. Siddhant Adhatrao scored a brilliant unbeaten century as Sumit Ghadigaonkar scored 64. With a lead of 373, New Hind were in the driving seat. Ultimately Victory were bowled out for just 267. Kaushal Tambe (83), Vaibhav Choughale (65) and Suved Parkar (52) attempting their level best but the final innings lasted for just 34.1 overs.

Pranav Kela was the highest run-getter of the tournament, scoring 451 in just 6 innings for the champions, New Hind.
