Opener Manoj Bedi hits an aggressive 37ball 74 to steer RGW at the top of the table in the Skyline T20 Summer League 2017

Played at the Skyline Cricket Ground, it was a match between two strong teams who have given good perfomance throughout the series. On a flat track like skyline, Rising 11 won the toss and elected to bat first to make a big total to put the opposition under pressure.

Batting first, Rising XI did a commendable job with the bat as they scored 163/8 in 20 overs. Even though the top order failed, Abhay at no.7 scored a match saving 67 off mere 29balls. It was sheer carnage from Abhay as he smashed 7sixes at a strike rate of 231. From the bowling side, Vishal Tyagi was the pick of the bowler taking 2/18 in his 4overs followed by 2/32 in 4 overs by Manoj Bedi.

In reply, Reefit Gym warriors chased down the score in just 17.3 overs. Opener Manoj Bedi who has been in great touch in the series scored a match winning 74 off 37balls (12fours, 2sixes) at a strike rate of 200 to help his side win the game as well as top the table. RGW won the match by 3wkts and 2.3 overs to spare and opener Manoj Bedi was declared ‘man of the match”.
