Opener Ameya Shrikhande smashes an impressive 162 while Amol bags 6wkts in the Times Cricket Shield ‘17
Played between Nirlon and Income Tax Club at the Sachivalay gymkhana in Mumbai, the match witnessed some great individual performances and pure domination from the Income Tax boys. Income Tax club who won the toss elected to field first with an aim of restricting Nirlon to a low total.
Their decision was completely spot on as Nirlon were all out for 188 in the 1st innings. Fast bowler Amol jungade bowled a terrific spell of fast bowling and continued his form from the last match as he took another 5wkt haul coming up excellent bowling figures of 6/51 in 21 overs with 4maidens. Amol inflicted damage right from the start as he kept on bowling in the right areas with tight line and length.
In reply, Income Tax notched up 324/5d where in right handed opener Ameya Shrikhande smashed a brutal 162 off just 143balls. Opening the innings and attacking made all the difference as he smashed 23fours and a six at a healthy strike rate of 120+. Ameya certainly dominated the bowlers with will and looked confident for his stay at the crease. In the 2nd innings, Nirlon were again all-out for 219 where in Prasad Patil and Manan took 4wkts each. It was a collectively good team perfomance from the Income Tax boys where in opener Ameya stood out with the bat while Amol continued his terrific form with the ball.
