Off-Spinner Raja Gode continues his form as he takes a 6wkt haul vs Lord Northbrook CC in the Kanga League ‘17
Played at the Sydenham College Gymkhana, Oval Maidan, two promising teams namely Lord Nortbrook CC and Youngmen CC Vasai clashed against each other where in Youngmen CC won the toss and elected to field first.
Batting first, Lord Northbrook CC were skittled out for just 53/10 in 21 overs and hardly any batsman managed to create any impact. Right-arm off spinner Raja Gode who has been amongst the wickets this season once again came up with excellent bowling figures of 6/12 in 6overs (2maidens). Raja bowled in the right areas and hardly gave any room to the batsman to score runs which eventually reaped rewards for his team and himself.
Youngmen CC Vasai declared their innings at 138/6 in 32 overs with Akshay Shellar top scoring with an unbeaten 51*. Lord Northbrook played well in the 2nd innings as they scored 116/3 in 29overs before the end of the game’s play. Youngmen CC vasai won the match on 1st innings and a major reason for that was the bowling perfomance displayed by spinner Raja Gode. Cricketgraph congratulates Raja while wishes luck to all the players for their upcoming matches.
