Nitin Jaitapkar’s 4/25 leads C.C.D to a win over SHM Ulhasnagar in the Samata Friendship Trophy

The AIS Taloja Cricket Ground witnessed a great competition between C.C.D & SHM Ulhasnagar as both the teams gave a tough fight. Winning the toss, CCD elected to bat first as the pitch was good to bat on.

Batting first, CCD managed to reach 156/8 in 20 overs even though it wasn’t the best of the batting performances from them. The 22 extras conceded by the opposition bowlers played a huge role in their team total crossing the 150 run mark. Aniket Desai (37off26) & Sachin Rajput (22 off 26) were the leading scorers & were also the only one to cross the 20run mark in their team. Sanju Sadija was the pick of the bowlers taking 2/22 in his 4 overs followed by a wicket each for the rest of the bowlers. Sanju bowled really well but he lacked the same kind of support from the other bowlers.

Chasing 157, good bowling by the CCD boys made SHM Ulhasnagar reach only 135/8 in 20 overs. CCD won the match by 21 runs & a major credit must go to their fast bowler  Nitin Jaitapkar who bowled a brilliant spell of 4/25 in his 4 overs. The rest of the bowlers also did a decent job but it was Nitin who effectively cleaned up the entire middle order with his bowling.
