Nikhil Patil’s stroke-filled 102 steers Parsee Gymkhana to a win over the powerful MIG in the ongoing Police Shield’21
Parsee Gymkhana after being put to bat first on their home turf looked least deterred amassing a good total of 314/5 in 45 overs. Openers Swapnil Pradhan (47) and Aakarshit Gomel (63) provided a great opening start while the momentum was taken ahead by Nikhil Patil at no.4. Nikhil brought in his experience and smashed some magnificent shots en-route his stroke filled 102* off 72 balls. Nikhil overall smashed 16 fours and 2 sixes at a strike rate of almost 150 which pushed his team total to 300+ in 45 overs.
MIG Cricket Club in reply were all out for 253 runs with Pragnesh Kanpillewar (43) and Arjun Tendulkar (47 off 23 balls) being the top scorers for their team. From the bowlers, Parag Khanapurkar with 3/32 was the pick of the lot while Shivam Malhotra, Yash Dicholkar and Vikrant Auti chipped in with 2 wickets a piece.
