Neel Devkhile Strikes Six wickets in Kanga League 2026
In the Dr HD Kanga Cricket League C Division match between Palghar Dahanu Taluka Sports Association and Regal Cricket Club on October 11, Neel Devkhile delivered an impressive bowling performance, picking up six wickets despite bowling on a flat pitch.
Batting first, Palghar Dahanu Taluka Sports Association put up 239/9 in 66 overs. Pramesh Budha led the batting effort with a valuable 83 runs, while Janmay Patil contributed 76 runs to help his side post a competitive total.
However, Regal Cricket Club’s left-arm spinner Neel Devkhile made sure the opposition had to work hard for their runs. Bowling 18 overs, including four maidens, Devkhile claimed six wickets and emerged as one of the standout performers of the match.
What made his spell particularly impressive was the nature of the pitch. With little assistance from the flat surface, picking up wickets required patience, control and the ability to make the most of every opportunity. Devkhile showed those qualities throughout his spell, troubling the opposition batters and making crucial breakthroughs.
Although the match ended in a draw with the first innings remaining unfinished, Devkhile’s six-wicket haul was a major highlight of the contest. His performance demonstrated the value of disciplined spin bowling, even when the conditions offer limited assistance.
For Regal Cricket Club, Devkhile’s effort was a strong individual performance in a closely contested league fixture, while Palghar Dahanu Taluka Sports Association had contributions from Budha and Patil to thank for their competitive total.
