MUMBAI Showing their prowess with a mammoth 1st Innings score in the Under-14 West Zone League

What a commanding position Mumbai is in against Saurashtra in the under-14 West Zone League. Mumbai who have a strong batting line up elected to bat first and make the most of the batting conditions.

Openers Aditya Warang and Shubham Mistry were not able to give a good start but the talented Musheer Khan had some other plans in store for his team. The mini dynamo scored an unbeaten double century to change his team’s fortunes. Mumbai declared their innings on Day 2 with Musheer Khan remaining unbeaten on 237* along with the in-form run machine of the season Suryansh Shedge scoring 186.  Jatin Rana was the pick of the bowlers from Maharashtra taking 3/88.

Trailing 548, Saurashtra are already struggling with 6 wickets down for just 72 runs in 52 overs.  Left arm spinner Ayush Zimare again showing his abilities with the ball who has a figures of 3/27 so far.

Saurashtra has struggled so far in both the departments (batting & bowling) and it will be very tough for them to save the match from their current position. Mumbai are in a very strong position to win the match and it will be exciting to see if Saurashtra fights back tomorrow.
