Mohit Ahlawat scored a blistering ton 145* in inaugural match of 48th All India Goswami Ganesh Dutt Memorial Cricket Tournament (Regd.)
In a one-sided contest, Sahgal Cricket Club began with a victory in the 48th All India Goswami Ganesh Dutt Cricket Tournament. The tournament between Sahgal Cricket Club and Players Academy kicked off today to boost the enthusiasm of the players. Chief guests Shri Pawan Gulati, Treasurer of DDCA, Shri Rajan Manchanda, Secretary of DDCA, Shri Ashok Sharma, Director of DDCA, Manish Agarwal, President of Roshanara Club, and Shri Kimti Lal, Director of Kimti Sports, graced the inauguration of the tournament, enhancing the grandeur and excitement of the players.
Players Academy won the toss and opted to bowl first. Mohit Ahlawat’s explosive batting scored an unbeaten 145 runs (81 balls), accompanied by Deepak Khatri’s 64 runs (32 balls), Laksh Thareja’s 58 runs (45 balls), and captain Mohammad Sultan Ansari’s 56 runs (37 balls). With their contributions, the team set a target of 392 runs in 40 overs.
From Players Academy, Naman Gupta took 2 wickets, giving away 64 runs in 7 overs.
From Players Academy, Vedansh Siotia scored 102 runs off 85 balls, well-supported by Aryan Gaur with 82 runs off 69 balls. However, they fell short by 120 runs from the target, managing to score only 272 runs.
From Sahgal Cricket Club, Faizan Alam, Laksh Thareja, Deepak Khatri, Vinay Sharma, and Ankit Kumar each took 1 wicket.
