The 5th Ajit Ghosh Memorial Trophy (T20 Women’s Cricket Tournament), held under the auspices of the Mumbai Cricket Association, has been an exhilarating showcase of talent, thanks to the generous support from sponsors such as Redfox Media Corp., Avisa Sports, and SRG Sports Official. On January 14, 2025, Maharashtra Young Cricketers emerged victorious over Borivali Cricket Club at Matunga Gymkhana, winning by a margin of 41 runs. Opting to bat first after winning the toss, Maharashtra Young Cricketers set a challenging target of 161 runs for the loss of seven wickets in their allotted 20 overs.

Sanaya Joshi led the charge with a remarkable 55 runs off 41 balls, including three fours and two sixes. Venora D’Souza contributed a solid 31 runs off 34 balls, while Jaini Shah added a quick 32 off 27 balls. Borivali Cricket Club’s bowlers, Kaveri Ghuge and Asmita Avalegaonkar, took two wickets each, with Harshita Indulkar and Tanishi Shaha claiming one wicket apiece.

In response, Borivali Cricket Club managed to score 120 runs for the loss of five wickets in their 20 overs. Despite a valiant effort by Roma Sharma, who scored 42 runs off 64 balls, the team fell short of the target.
