L&T wins the finals of 46th T20 Thane Vaibhav Tournament’22
Played at Central Maidan in Thane, L&T after being put to bat first posted a total of 148/10 in 19.5 overs. Shiva Yadav coming at no.3 top scored for his team smashing a very crucial innings of 55 runs off 47 balls smashing 8 boundaries. Even though wickets were tumbling from the other end, Shiva held fort and helped L&T reach a defendable total. From the bowlers, Pankaj Sawant with 3/18 in 4 overs was the pick of the lot while Anirban and Rishikesh bagged 2wkts each.
Chasing 149, Times of India could only manage a total of 129/8 in 20 overs courtesy tight bowling by the LT bowlers. Even though TOI openers gave a flying start putting on 73 runs for the 1st wicket, the rest of the line up below them collapsed and could not covert their good start into a match winning effort. Jatin Sethi with 2/23 in 4 overs and Sushant Sethi with 2/25 were the pick of the lot. Larsen & Toubro won the finals by 19 runs and become the champions of 46th Thane Vaibhav Tournament.
