Kartike Savla, Rohan Kadam & Prathamesh Mahale steer Young Friends CC to a win in the Cosmopolitan Shield’19

Friends Union CC opting to bat first posted a total of 230/10 in 43.3 overs. Even though most of the batters found it difficult to get going, it was Nirav Bheda at no.3 scoring a confident 91 off just 84 balls (10 fours, 1 six). Vishal Shah at no.6 also chipped in well scoring a quick 29 ball 47. From the bowlers, spinner Keval Vakhariya with 4/44 and quickster Prathamesh Mahale with 4/33 in 8.3 overs were the best bowlers from Young Friends CC.

Chasing 231, Young Friends CC did face a few hiccups with the top order back to pavilion with just 70-75 runs on board. However, it was a match winning partnership between of 103 runs for the 5^th wicket between Rohan Kadam (60 off 62) and Kartike Savla (67* off 66) which changed the game for Young Friends CC. Kartike owned the day with all-round performance as he stitched another unbeaten stand of 57* with Hritik Jadhav (28*) as they successfully chased down the total in 40.5 overs with 5 wkts in hand.
