Kapil’s 37ball 72* propels Invictus United to a win in the 2ND Red Rock Corporate T20 League

Played at the Star Cricket Ground at Kadarpur in Gurgaon, two promising teams namely Avengers and Invictus united clashed for an exciting encounter where in Avengers won the toss and elected to bat first in order to put a big total on the board.

However, Avengers decision to bat first fell flat as they managed to score only 102 before they were all out in just 16.5 overs. Ambar Anand at the middle order was the highest scorer with a 27ball 30 which helped them cross the 100 run mark while Amit and Suraj at the tail also chipped in with quick 15’s. Arjun with envious bowling figures of 3/6 in 3 overs was the pick of the bowlers followed by 2wkts each for Harsh, Bholu & Rahul.

Chasing a below 120 score is always an easy task and more of a formality and Invictus openers just manage to do that as they chased down the score in just 11.5 overs. Opener Kapil remained the highest scorer as he smashed a quickfire 72* off mere 37balls at a strike rate of almost 200 which also included 6 sixes. Invictus United won the match in style  by 9wkts and 8.1 overs to spare and opener Kapil was declared ‘man of the match’ for his flashy 72*.
