Ishan Mitbavkar steers Abbott Healthcare to an easy win against Krishna Leisure Holidays in Chanawala Challenger T20
Abbott Healthcare faced Krishna Leisure Holidays on 30th April at Young Friends Ground, Mumbai during the Chanawala Challenger T20 Tournament. Winning the toss and electing to bat first, Abbott posted a challenging 162-6 in their full quota of 20 overs. Middle order bat Ishan Mitbavkar was the star batsmen as he cruised to a blistering 59 runs off just 32 cherries. Ishan smacked five boundaries and a six in his unbeaten knock. Shankar (31 runs off 35 balls) and Sandesh (38 runs off 26 balls) gave Ishan good company and helped their team put up a respectable score on board. Vishal Mehta picked up 2-36 in his three overs.
Apart from the no.4 batsman Manan Desai (33 runs off 25 balls), rest of the Krishna Leisure Holidays’ batting line-up looked out of sorts. They were restricted at 117-7 in 20 overs, losing the match by 45 runs. The bowlers of Abbott bowled well in tandem and their disciplined efforts were duly rewarded. Sandeep was the pick of the bowlers for Abbott grabbing 3-20 in his economical three-over spell. Viju also contributed with the ball accounting for two scalps.
