IDFC First Bank MCA R.C members league kick starts from 25th Feb’22

Mumbai, the city of dreams, boasts of an affluent cricket culture, thanks to some of the legends of the game that it has produced over the years. Talking about the legends, there is a group of elite people, who have come together to play cricket. Running into its second year now, the IDFC First Bank MCA R.C Members League Kick Starts From 25th Feb’22 is an exclusive cricket tournament for the members of the MCA Cricket Club in BKC that will commence from February 25, 2022. Five elite teams, namely, JC Four Oaks Spartans, DDPL XI Wizards, Hemant Tool Tornadoes, Marshalls Royals and Spottlightt Social Scorchers, will lock horns against each other to clinch the coveted championship.

Team JC Four Oaks Spartans is owned by Ravindra Jhunjhunwala and Sumiran Mehta, with Vijay Singh being the icon player. Team DDPL Strikers is owned by Piyush Patel and the icon player of the team is Ojas Mehta. Team Hemant Tool Tornadoes is owned by Vivek Zaveri and the icon player is Chetan Kapoor. Team Marshalls Royals is owned by Karan Sharma and the icon player is Jeetinder Diwan. Team Spottlightt Social Scorchers is owned by Deepaq Modgil and the icon player is Abhishek Zaveri. More than 65 players have already registered for the tournament.

The IDFC First Bank MCA R.C Members League is one the biggest cricket leagues played among the members of the MCA Cricket Club in BKC. The tournament which will kick start from February 25 will see exciting matches being played on February 25, March 1, March 3, March 8, March 10 and March 12. All the matches will be played on Mumbai’s own SCG, which is the Somaiya Cricket Ground.

The much awaited tournament will be organized by a strong team of six, including Vatsal Shah, Kyan Bharucha of Bayside Sports, Aazaz Khan and icon players like Vijay Singh, Jeetinder Diwan and Ojas Mehta.

The tournament will see some great collaboration in the form of sponsorships. Banking behemoth IDFC First Bank is the title sponsor, Payntr is the associate sponsor for Player of the Match, Best Batsman, Best Bowler and Best Fielder awards, and Marshalls is the voucher sponsor for the Player of the Match award for every match. Bayside Sports and CricketGraph will be the organizing body and media partner respectively.

The second edition of the IDFC First Bank MCA R.C Members League is unequivocally going to be a thrilling contest. So, fasten your seat belts and be ready to enjoy this fun-filled ride.
