Final: ICC vs UBMC
ICC won the DSC Challenge Cup by defeating UBMC by a whopping margin of 85 runs in the final.
ICC won the toss and elected to bat first. Riding on Jayesh Waghmare’s 98 runs in 67 balls (4×9, 6×6), they piled up 180 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in their allotted 20 overs.
In reply, UBMC were all out for just 95 runs in 12.2 overs and were unable to cross Jayesh’s score, let alone reaching the target. Vishal Pandey returned with figures of 3/15 and Tejas scalped 3/10.
Jayesh Waghmare was adjudged Man of the Match for his math winning knock.
3rd Place Match: Dindhoshi Sports Club vs CPCC Youngsters
In the 3rd place match, DSC defeated CPCC easily by 7 wickets to grab the 3rd spot. CPCC won the toss & elected to bat first. But they could not bat to their true potential and ended at 109 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. Deepak Singh bowled an excellent spell of 3 wickets giving away just 9 runs. Nilesh Pawaskar grabbed 2 wickets.
DSC reached the target in 13 overs and losing just 3 wickets. Shutanshu Khandekar scored a quick fire 40 runs in just 23 balls (4×5 6×2) and Pradeep Shetty an unbeaten 23 off just 11 bals (4×2 6×2).
Deepak Singh was adjudged Man of the Match for his superb bowling effort.
