Hrishikesh Chavan (132) and Nishit Balla (6wkts) steer Dilip Vengsarkar XI to a win in the Payyade U16 Selection Match’21

Played at the picturesque Sachin Tendulkar Gymkhana in Kandivali, Mumbai, Dilip Vengsarkar XI opting to bat first scored a total of 321/5 in 87 overs with openers Himanshu Kumar and Hrishikesh Chavan giving a solid opening start. Himanshu scored 60 off 101 balls while Hrishikesh went on to score an impressive 132 off 204 balls laced with 24 boundaries and a six.

Rohit Sharma XI in reply were all out for 170 runs courtesy a brilliant spell from spinner Nishit Balla. Nishit returned with excellent bowling figures of 6/37 in 19 overs including 8 maidens which proved to be the game changer for Dilip Vensarkar XI. Dilip Vengsakar XI in 2^nd innings batted for 30 overs with 8 wickets in hand as they won the match on 1^st innings lead.
