Highflyers Club emerge as champions in Friends Premier League 2014-15

• After a long journey of 48 matches, 2 teams Highflyers and VFCL  locked horns in the finals of Friends Premier League 2015-15. Toss was won by VFCL who chose to field first on 22nd Feb 2015 at Yashwant Nagar Cricket ground in Virar. All Batters from Highflyers club chipped in with small scores and reached to a below decent total of 123 runs off 20 overs for the loss of 9 wickets.

VFCL bowlers maintained a disciplined attack, especially by Man of the Match Rupein Desai who had outstanding figures of 4-19-4

VFCL batters started cautiously and saw a huge partnership between Rupein Desai and Praful Tambe. At one point it looked the match would be easily won by VFCL, however destiny had other plans. VFCL batting line up collapsed like a pack of cards with 6 batsmen scoring less than 5 runs. Praful Tambe fought like a champion however he ran out of partners at the other end.  Panic might have gotten the best of VFCL batters since there were 3 runs outs in their innings.
