Full squad of Piyush Patel’s DDPL Strikers in IDFC First Bank MCA BKC RC Members Premier League’22

The auction for the second edition of the IDFC First Bank  MCA BKC RC Members Premier League (MPL) took place on February 12 at the MCA BKC facility. The owners of five participating teams were present during the auction. The five teams that will lock horns against each other in the MPL are JC Four Oaks Spartans, DDPL Strikers, Hemant Tool Tornadoes, Marshalls Royals and Spottlightt Social Scorchers. Each of the team owners made their picks during the auction.

In this article, we will look at the 11 players selected by DDPL Strikers, a team owned by Piyush Patel. The icon player of DDPL Strikers is Ojas Mehta. DDPL Strikers is 13-players strong, including 11 selected in the auction, one owner and one icon player. Prior to the actual auction of players, each of the five teams was required to select their top three picks in a snake pattern. Piyush Patel’s DDPL Strikers picked up Aneesh Vijaykar, Manvendra Mishra and Abhay Sharma in this three-round affair.

Once the auction started, Piyush Patel strategized the bids in order to make a complete team. He ensured that he had a good mix of batters, bowlers, all-rounders and wicket-keepers in the side. In addition to the aforementioned three players, Piyush Patel and DDPL Strikers successfully bid for eight players, namely, Ravi Tewari, Dhruvit Shah, Vishal Gehani, Mihir Varma, Gurvneet Singh, Pradnesh Warke, Sandeep Maurya and Kamal Punwani.
