Fifties by Siddarth Chitnis (56*)and Yogesh Takawale (63*) ensure a finals berth for DY Patil in the Young Comrade Shield’19

Parkophene Cricketers after being made to bat first on DY Patil Nerul were in deep trouble getting all out for 171 runs. Opener Akhil Herwadkar displayed some solidity with a gritty 71 off 133 balls but the rest of the batsman found it difficult to get going against the experienced pace attack of Abhishek Nayar (4/49) and Prashant Bhoir (3/30) who took 7 wkts between themselves.

Chasing 172, DY Patil Sports Academy chased it down with superlative ease in just 30.3 overs winning the semis by 7 wkts. Despite a few top order wickets, Siddarth Chitnis and Yogesh Takawale finished of the game for DY with an unbeaten 118* run stand. Siddarth scored 56* off 50 balls (9 fours, 1 six) while Yogesh Takawale scored run a ball 63* (7 fours) as both the batters steered their team to a commanding win.
