Fast bowlers display their bowling prowess in the Dadar Union vs National CC match in Kanga League 2017-18
Held at the National CC, Cross Maidan ground in Mumbai, it was an exciting encounter between two strong teams namely Dadar Union & National CC where in National CC won the toss and elected to field first considering the damp rainy conditions.
Their decision to bowl first seemed to be accurate as Dadar Union were all out for just 146/10 in 46.3 overs. The top order failed to make an impact while it Rohan Rane and Tanush Kotian at the middle order resurrected the innings for Dadar. Rohan scored a fighting 30 while Tanush scored valiant 49 off just 55balls to take their team total to atleast 146. Right arm fast bowler Atish Gawand was the pick of the bowlers coming up with superb bowling figures of 5/31 in 17.3 overs. It was a pure display of pace, good line and length along with discipline.
However, Dadar Union boys covered up their sloppy batting with great bowling perfomance as National CC were reduced to 91/8 before the end of the game’s play where in the match was declared drawn. If Atish’s perfomance was not enough, right arm fast bowler Siddarth Raud took it a notch above taking 6/23 in 13 overs. Siddarth exuded raw pace and consistency which was hard to decode by the opposition batsman. The match was declared drawn but it was these two bowlers who showcased genuine fast bowling to impress one and all. Cricketgraph congratulates both the boys while wishes both the teams luck for their upcoming matches.
