Fast Bowler Aishwarya Surve chips in with 4/45 vs DY Patil in the ongoing Kanga League 2017
Played at Azad Maidan on 10th Sept in Mumbai, it was a match between two old and experienced teams namely DY Patil & Fort Vijay CC where in Fort Vijay CC won the toss & elected to field first considering the damp and vulnerable rainy conditions in Mumbai.
Batting first, DY Patil Sports Academy managed to score only 161/10 in 55.3 overs. They could have batted strongly to atleast reach between 200 to 250. Even though the top 3 batsman failed to give a lively start, it was Shashank Singh at no.4 who was the highest scorer with a 44ball 40(4fours). From the bowling side, it was right arm fast bowler Aishwarya Surve who bowled with discipline, tight line and length and good pace taking 4/45 in his 14overs(1maiden) which did the maximum damage.
In reply, Fort Vijay CC were 104/2 in 31 overs before the end of the game’s play where the match ended in a draw. Left-handed opener Divyansh Saxena top scored with his hard working 46 off 79balls(2fours). The match ended in a draw but it was impressive perfomance from both the sides and especially fast bowler Aishwarya who took a four-fer. Cricketgraph congratulates Aishwarya while wishes luck to all the players for their upcoming matches.
