Faazil-Farhan Due Seal It For Seaside Stallions In The Gold Finals Of The JFSC Super Cup

In the Gold Finals of the JFSC Super Cup, Seaside Stallions faced off the CFF Fire Flyers. Batting first, Seaside Stallions scored a very competitive total of 183, losing 7 wickets in 20 overs. Opener Nikesh provided a stable start as he scored 39 off 30 balls with 2 sixes. Coming down at number 5, Faazil gave his team the required punch by scoring a rapid 70 off just 37 balls. By hitting 7 sixes, Faazil helped his team get to a match-winning total. Apart from them, no batsmen crossed the 20-run mark.

The bowlers were expensive conceding runs at over 9 runs per over but Ramesh’s 3/25 in his 4 over spell was the bowling highlight of the innings. Anish managed to claim 2 wickets although at an economy of 7.75.

The CFF Fire Flyers lost their openers in quick successions and were left in a deep hole as the 3rd wicket fell in the 7th over for just 33. Anil played a fighting knock of 47 off 32 balls with 7 boundaries and was well supported by Anish who chipped in a handy 32 but a lack of support from other batsmen, they could score only 148 in their 20 overs.

After an impressive display of strokeplay, it was the bowling of Stallions which sealed the championship by 35 runs. The bowler of the lot was Farhan who’s 4/23 in four overs was economical as well as aggressive at the same time. Everyone else managed to pick a wicket as well.

For his blistering knock, Faazil was named the Man of the match as Seaside Stallions lifted the trophy.
