Experienced Naushad Khan scalps a stunning 7/21 vs Ghatkoper Jolly Gymkhana in the Kanga League ‘17
Kanga matches has always been a platform for youngsters and many talents have emerged this year too from Kanga and one of them is also the experienced Naushad Khan who has certainly proved that age is no bar and he can still give his cricketer kids Sarfaraz and Musheer a run for their money.
In a match held recently between Young Mohmmedan CC and Jolly Cricketers, Young Mohmeddan CC managed to score 178/9 in 46 overs where in Kadir Patel at the lower middle order was the top scorer with an unbeaten 60* off 68balls. The bowlers did a good job where in Sachin Sheth and Satyak Patel did a good job with the ball taking 3wkts each.
However, the young Mohmmedan boys gave a perfect reply with the ball as they bundled out Jolly Cricketers for just 71runs in 71.1 overs. Left arm spinner Naushad Khan bowled a terrific spell of spin bowling taking 7/21 in 14.1 overs. Naushad showed that experience counts a lot in the game of cricket as he bowled perfectly in the right areas to trouble the batsman with his spin. Off-spinner Arsalan Shaikh also bowled well as he took 3wkts. Eventually Young Mohmmedans won the match on 1st innings and it was definitely Naushad Khan who impressed one and all with his great spin!
