DU Inter College: SGND Khalsa College fail to cross final hurdle; loses to Hindu by 95 runs
After performing so well and knocking out opponents in their previous matches, SGND Khalsa College faultered at the last stop and were not able to cross a hurdle in the name of Hindu College, losing to them by 95 runs and crashing out of the tournament.
Hindu batted first and scored 223 runs in 50 overs. Opener Abhishek top scored with 65. Other notable contributions were by No. 9 batsman Rohan who compiled 33 runs for his team. Pragam scored 25. For SGND Khalsa, Yogesh scalped 4 while Hirdhay and Chetan captured 2 wickets each.
Chasing a tricky total, SGND Khalsa were up against a very strong bowling unit. And they felt the pressure. They were shot out for 128 runs thereby losing by 95 runs. Only opener Vansh (43) and Kashish (36) were able to resist Hindu bowlers for sometime but rest of the batsmen could not offer much support.
For Hindu, Rohan captured 3 wickets, Navendu captured 2 while four other bowlers managed a wicket each.
