Collective Team Work Ensures a Finals Berth for Rizvi School in the Giles Shield ‘19

Played between Anjuman Islam High School and Rizvi Springfield High School, Anjuman Islam winning the toss opted to bat first getting all out for mere 81 runs in their 1^st innings. Apart from Faizan scoring 37, the rest of the batsman were out in single digits with 3 bowlers taking 2 wkts and Ravi Gupta taking 3/22 in 7overs.

Rizvi on the other hand managed to score 249/10 in 67.1 overs with Krish Singh (48) and Aayush Mhatre (59) coming up with crucial knocks. Devraj Rangu who took 7/88 in 22.1 overs with 4 maidens was the pick of the bowlers in what was an heroic bowling effort.

Anjuman Islam were 125/7 in their 2^nd innings at the end of the game’s play where Rizvi won the semis on 1^st innings lead qualifying for the finals.
