Centurion Yatish Ganatra dazzles for Kutchi Lohana against Halai Lohana in the semi-final of Kapol Premiere League

Winning the toss and electing to bat first, Kutchi Lohana posted a strong target of 196 runs against Halai Lohana on 2nd April at Payyade Cricket Ground, Mumbai in the semi-final match of Kapol Premiere League. The openers Darshan Ruparel () and Yatish Ganatra () were wonderful and provided a handsome start to their team’s batting. Ganatra played one of his best innings as he blistered a 50-ball 100, smacking nine boundaries and five sixes. He struck at an attacking strike rate of 200 and was a splendid spectacle. Harshit Savani was the pick of the bowlers picking up 3-22 in his four overs.

Halai Lohana gave a tough fight as they finished off with 162-9 in 20 overs. They lost the match by 33 runs. Milan Rughani (43 runs off 26 balls) and Manan Thakkar (55 runs off 32 balls) played some fantastic knocks but failed to take their team home. Vishal Ruparel was the star bowler, grabbing 3-17 in four overs. Jignesh Katira and Mukesh Thakkar picked up two wickets apiece.

Yatish Ganatra (100 runs off 50 balls) was awarded with the Man of the Match prize for his scintillating century.
