Boys Cricket Club enter the Semi-Final of Thane Premier League

The fiercely fought quarter-final of Thane Premier League between Eknath Shinde Cricket Club I and Boys Cricket Club on Monday at Dadoji Konddev Stadium ended in a tie. The result was determined by the Super Over in which Boys Cricket Club emerged victorious.

Deciding to bat first, Boys Cricket Club made 159/9 in 20 overs. Opening batter Aditya Rawat pummeled 81 runs from 53 balls, including three fours and five sixes. Rawat found an able ally in Harshal Jadhav, who struck 51 runs from 32 balls, hitting four fours and three sixes. For Eknath Shinde Cricket Club I, Nipun Panchal was the pick of the bowlers with 2/28 in four overs.

In response, Eknath Shinde Cricket Club I matched the score set by Boys Cricket Club. Shashi Kadam top scored with a fiery 46 not out from just 22 balls, peppering the boundary rope four times. Opening batter Japjeet Randhawa was the other major contributor as he chipped in with 39 runs from 28 balls, that saw two fours and three sixes. For Boys Cricket Club, Piyush Kanojiya was the most successful bowler with 2/16 in three overs.

The match was decided by the Super Over in which Boys Cricket Club chased the target of 12 set by Eknath Shinde Cricket Club I. Boys Cricket Club have advanced to the semi-final of the Thane Premier League.
