Atish Walinjkar continues to top the charts: this time with a 10wkt haul & a ton in the same match of Times Shield ‘18

The left arm spinner Atish has been in the form of his life. After taking 42 wkts in just 11 innings of Kanga at an unbelievable average of just 6.00 runs and econ of 2.00, now he ups the game with a record which not many can achieve on daily basis in cricket.

Kunal Karamchandani

In the ongoing match between Adani/Reliance and Western Railways, Adani Electricity/Reliance were all out for 171 runs in their 1st innings thanks to Atish’s terrific spell of 7/44 in 19.1 overs. In reply, Western Railway notched up a massive total of 380 runs where in Kunal Karamchandani at no.7 scored a solid 109 (170 balls) while Atish won the hearts of many by coming in at no.8 and scoring 100 runs off 122 balls (13 fours, 2 sixes) pushing his team to a big total while also stitching a crucial partnership with Kunal.

Atish who is already a wonderful left-arm spinner now becomes a handy batsman too down the order as he achieves the unique feat of scoring a hundred and also taking 10 wkts in a match which very rare all-rounders have managed to achieve in any format of cricket.

Reliance who were  27/1 ended their 2nd innings innings at 31/6 at the end of the game’s play where Atish took another 3 wkts taking his tally of wickets to 10/48 in the match with a ton as Western Railways are on the verge of a big win at the end of Day 2.
